Outdoor Heated Dog Beds

There are few outdoor heated mats that can withstand inclement weather. We offer a hard heated pad that consists of a thin, hollow plastic mat with a heating insert that heats the air inside the shell and warms your pet as he lies upon it. These are meant to be used in dog houses or on cold floors such as basements or garages. There are similar outdoor soft mats for the same purpose. All outdoor mats are manufactured with a steel-wrapped cord to help prevent chewing by bored dogs.

Many dogs habitually pull out or destroy anything placed on the floor of their kennel or house. Carpeting often has a short life. This might be due to the "denning" instinct to scratch, re-arrange and plump the bedding, resulting in destruction of our good intentions.

Study the temperament and habits of your dog before deciding on the hard or soft mat. If he is a chewer (most labs and retrievers for sure), he should not be given the opportunity to chew up a soft mat.

A thermostat provides just the right temperature and saves electricity, turning off the heat when it is not needed.

Human heating pads get waaaaaaay too hot for pets. They can cause burning and hair loss.

Most indoor heated dog beds consist of an inner cushion, an outer shell, and a flexible heating mat tucked under the cover on top of the cushion.

The most popular beds have a removable heater so they can be used in both summer and winter. They also have removable covers for washing.

All of the electric heated beds we offer have low wattage and thermostats to control the temperature.

Choose your heated pet bed by its other characteristics. Some have deep, orthopedic foam for older and arthritic pets as well as giant breeds prone to elbow and hip problems. Some are flat blankets that make great couch throws to keep the pet on the throw instead of the sofa upholstery.
